This workshop focuses on how to assess opportunities for distributed energy resources (DERs) at the portfolio and site level to achieve decarbonization goals. Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) experts will discuss relevant data for site prioritization and highlight the Renewable Energy Integration and Optimization (REopt) energy and emissions modeling capabilities to help agencies identify the most cost-effective DERs to support decarbonization planning and implementation. The workshop will also include an overview & demo of the tool, hands-on exercise, and discussion to empower agencies to use REopt to assess DERs towards federal decarbonization targets.
