This workshop provides an overview of new customizable Federal Energy Program (FEMP) technical specifications (solar photovoltaic (PV) web tool, wind and battery storage web resources (BESS)) and demonstrates how to use them to plan for a new on-site system. Adding basic technical requirements to a project increases the odds of a successful, well-performing, and safe system and captures valuable ancillary benefits that may otherwise be overlooked. Technical requirements embody valuable lessons learned that protect agency investment in solar PV, wind, and BESS assets.
