Nashville Airport Marriott has a complimentary shuttle service (no reservation necessary) which runs every 30 minutes between the Nashville International Airport and the hotel. Advanced Utility Energy Services Contracting (UESC) Workshop – April 20-21, 2015
UESCs offer a method for serving utilities to provide significant assistance to federal agencies through comprehensive EE/RE projects including financing and performance assurance. This two-day advanced workshop will examine strategies and methods used by experienced contracting officers and their technical teams from project development to contract award and post-acceptance. Attendees will work through exercises designed to develop a project using templates and samples. Priority registration will be given to contracting officers, contracting specialists, and other Federal employees. Attendees from private industry will be admitted as space allows. Energy Lawyers and Contracting Officers Working Group Meeting – April 23, 2015, 12:30 p.m.-2 p.m.
This meeting is open to anyone who registered to attend the FUPWG meeting at no additional registration or cost and is designed to be of interest particularly to energy lawyers and contracting officers involved in federal energy projects. The agenda focuses on topics of interest to the working group and shared solutions to help facilitate federal/utility partnerships.

Optional Tour to Old Hickory Dam - April 23, 2015, 2:30 p.m., $15
The Old Hickory Lock and Dam was designed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and built by private contractors as part of a comprehensive development plan for the Cumberland River Basis. Construction started in January 1952, and dam closure was completed in June 1954. The project was completed for full beneficial use in December 1957 with the placement of the final hydroelectric power unit. The power plant is operated so as to use as much of the water flow as possible for power production.

The Federal Utility Partnership Working Group (FUPWG), initiated in 1994, establishes partnerships and facilitates communications among Federal agencies, utilities, and energy service companies. All seminar delegates are required to honor the Federal Utility Partnership Working Group guidelines developed by the Working Group Steering Committee. Hospitality/social functions (on and off site) are strictly prohibited from conflicting with the timing of official Working Group activities listed in the "Schedule of Events". Aggressive sales techniques are to be avoided while attending working group meetings. Signs and flyers may not be displayed or distributed in meeting areas or guest rooms reserved for working group participants.
