Basics of Energy Conservation Measures for Performance Contracts

Long Description

Having a fundamental understanding of energy related concepts and technologies is imperative for personnel working on the implementation of energy related projects, specifically the Utility Energy Service Contracts (UESC) and Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) contract vehicles. This training will provide attendees with an introductory understanding of energy related concepts and how those concepts are related to energy conservation. In this workshop, FEMP will discuss energy concepts that will provide attendees with a fundamental understanding of the core principles of energy conservation and renewable energy generation technologies. Attendees will hear about the basic units of energy and power as well as receive an introduction to the various energy conservation measures (ECMs) implemented to improve efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and provide clean energy solutions to federal agencies.
