Technology Demonstration Partnership Policy

This City Council memorandum establishes a framework for engaging in and evaluating demonstration partnerships with the goal of developing, testing, and demonstrating emerging technologies, product, and service innovations.

The proposed Demonstration Partnership Policy provides a framework for engaging in and evaluating demonstration partnerships. The policy also provides an effective economic development attraction and expansion tool not currently available under City policy. It is designed to achieve a balance between the City seeking innovative solutions to delivering municipal services, budgetary considerations and providing a level playing field where there may be more than one emerging companies in the field that are working on the same types of technologies.
