Background

The Cheyenne Housing Authority (CHA) is a Public Housing Authority offering rental housing assistance and Public Housing units to approximately 2,000 Wyoming households statewide. CHA actively works to provide decent, safe and sanitary housing to elderly, disabled and economically disadvantaged families unable to obtain housing through conventional means. CHA also provides other necessary life services to this population including nutrition, senior social services, health, family caregiver, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, and a Family Self Sufficiency Program.

CHA will achieve its Better Buildings Challenge goal through successful completion of an Energy Performance Contract for the installation of energy efficient heating boilers, hot water heaters, light fixtures, and water conservation measures. CHA will continue to focus additional resources on the installation of energy conserving appliances and building components.
