Reduction in Energy Intensity by 2020 from a 2008 baseline
Eastman is a global specialty chemical company that produces a broad range of products that are found in items people use every day. Headquartered in Kingsport, Tennessee, Eastman employs approximately 14,000 people and had 2013 revenues of approximately $9.4 billion.
Since the 1970s, Eastman’s energy policy has balanced the need for affordable energy supplies with the need to reduce the amount of energy needed to make our products. Eastman’s integrated manufacturing processes and use of combined heat and power (CHP) results in highly efficient operations. Since 2008, Eastman has improved intensity by nearly 9 percent.
