The Lighting Energy Efficiency in Parking (LEEP) Campaign was launched by BOMA, the Green Parking Council, and the International Facility Management Associationin the fall of 2012. The LEEP Campaign focuses on high efficiency parking facility lighting solutions, which may include the use of lighting controls and/or efficient equipment to realize significant energy savings in parking facilities. This webinar will provide an overview of the Lighting Efficiency in Parking (LEEP) Campaign delivered by Marina Badoian Kriticos of International Facility Management Association. In addition to the LEEP Campaign, a brief review of lighting controls for parking facilities will be discussed by Michael Myer of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Finally, Holly Blomquist of Harwood Engineering Consultants will provide the results of a parking structure retrofit utilizing efficient equipment and multiple controls, resulting in energy savings of 45%. New technologies for replacement and retrofits of existing rooftop air conditioning units (RTUs) offer tremendous savings opportunities; however, the process of finding the best options can be overwhelming. To help build the business case for the best high-efficiency solutions, the Department of Energy’s Advanced RTU Campaign (ARC) has developed a set of resources built around a streamlined RTU evaluation methodology. This webinar will show how these resources can be used to assess your existing equipment for retrofit or replacement, identify the highest priority RTUs, make the business case, and determine the best options for proceeding with the RTU retrofits and replacements.
