Participate in our research study on equipment replacement decision-making
Better Buildings Alliance members can participate in this study by contributing data to “real world” useful life of key equipment to create a better set of working metrics for actual equipment performance (as opposed to engineering assumptions). This will support commercial building decision-makers considering equipment retirement.
The study also analyzes numbers on equipment replacements and retrofits, unit age, unit lifetime (expected and actual), unit cost, energy saved, square feet covered, climate zone, and building type. Key questions include: “how much energy could be saved if equipment is replaced at/or before the end of its useful life instead of at equipment failure?”
